Center Director

The Head Start Center Director works collaboratively with the Education Coordinator and Education Director in monitoring the delivery of high quality education services in a safe, healthy, and developmentally appropriate classroom for children 3 to 5 years old in accordance with EEC regulations and Head Start performance standards. Housing Advocacy Program

Housing Advocate

The Housing Advocate is charged with working with Somerville residents at risk of displacement by providing legal support and determining eligibility then processing rental assistance applications to prevent eviction. With the support of Cambridge & Somerville Legal Services, Housing Advocates ensure that tenants are made aware of their rights when facing an eviction. Other responsibilities of the Housing Advocate include assisting those facing housing insecurity to apply for affordable housing and engage clients in housing search when awarded a Section 8 voucher. MVP Stabilization Specialist

The Municipal Voucher Program (MVP) Stabilization Specialist is charged with providing housing search assistance followed by stabilization case management. The Somerville Municipal Voucher Program targets rent burdened households who have children in the Somerville Public Schools and families with a member who is disabled or over the age of 58. Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA Member 2025-2026 (in partnership with Tufts University)

The Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA program places AmeriCorps VISTA members in full service with campus and community partners for a one-year period. During this year, members spend 35 hours per week building systems and programs that support low-income college students and community members. The VISTA member’s work is to build capacity, meaning that rather than directly serving the community, they’re enhancing or creating systems, structures, and resources that support the direct anti-poverty work.
